PBSI History

Company History

Pacific Biomedical Services, Inc. (PBSI) was formed in 1994 and incorporated in Saipan, Commonwelath of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). The vision of the owners was to be able to provide the healthcare providers throughout Micronesia with a partner in maintaining their crucial medical equipment to provide for safe and fu8nctional equipment to properly treat and dignose patients.

Throughout the past twenty-three (23) years of service, PBSI has steadily grown from two (2) part-time service negineers to today, eight (8) full-time service engineers and four (4) sales executives. At the present time, we also in the process of increasing our technical service staff through a local apprenticeship program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor and Guam Community College. We now cover not only the CNMI but perform services throughout Micronesia in Guam, Palau, Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands. Our home office is in Saipan with a satelite office for sales and service in Guam.

In addition to our services, PBSi overv the past several years has been able to obtain distributorships of equipment with different medical equipment companies.

Expanded Services

Today PBSI has expanded its services from years ago working only on general biomedical equipment to all areas in the hospital from life-support equipment, hemodialysis, imaging equipment, laboratory, oxygen generators, gas systems, and dental equipment. The expansion of our services is a result of continuing education for our service engineers through manufacturers training on specific types of equipment, through biomedical journals such as AAMI and Biomedical Instrumentation & Technology and through independent training centers for biomedical instrumentation.
